The scene of the 15th LMBT Festival opening on Sunday was at the Művész Art Cinema in Budapest. Regrettably, after the programme young right-wing extremists tried to distract the events as a young person was hit while leaving the scene. Police checked the identity of the offenders, then suggested the removal of the flag placed on the cinema as according to them it provokes the rightist youths. The cinema unfortunately (partly for understandable reasons) acceded to the police request therefore in today’s Hungary the 15th LMBT Festival has to be opened with hiding the pride flag.
